Dr Mustafa is an experienced General Practitioner who has been practising medicine for approximately 30 years, including around 20 years in general practice. Originally from Kenya, he began his medical career working in a charitable health clinic before moving to the United Kingdom for GP training. He has more than 17 years of NHS experience, including 13 years as a GP, and relocated to Australia in 2019. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).

Dr Mustafa enjoys the breadth of family medicine and has particular interests in general adult medicine, men’s health and sexual health. He also has extensive experience in respiratory medicine and contributed to COVID-19 testing, screening and vaccination services during the pandemic. He values preventative health, chronic disease management and continuity of care, taking a friendly, approachable and patient-centred approach to consultations.

Dr Mustafa has undertaken further training in obstetrics and gynaecology (DRCOG) and medical education. Passionate about teaching and mentoring future doctors, he currently works as an Academic Mentor at Melbourne Medical School. Outside medicine, he enjoys running, hiking, cycling and exploring Melbourne’s diverse food scene.
